On Saturday night, I accompanied Valerie, Lindsay, and Cecilia to the annual Performa Arts Gala, hosted by Alan Cumming.
Valerie had gotten four complimentary tickets through work and invited us along for the ride. Being as it is impolite to talk about money, I won’t mention how much the tickets were going for (it rhymes with schmunthousand follars).
The theme for the evening was Russian Constructivism — what ever that means — so of course everyone was in red, drinking schmancy infused vodka, and gobbling tuna tartar. Oh and there was a random cotton candy room — that is, an edible room. And Anne Hathaway was there in shoes that were two sizes too big for her.
The Red Party!
Lindsey and myself in the bathroom.
The dinner: Borsch, lentils, braised oxtail, creme fraiche, and applewood smoked bacon lardons (among many other things)
Cotton candy room.
