Shannon McGarvey is a writer, producer, and storyteller with a passion for curating human-centered narratives across podcasts and multimedia formats.

She is the founder and owner of Moonpie Media, an award-winning full-service, purpose-driven podcast and multimedia production company based in Austin, TX.

Shannon co-wrote and produced the successful long-running true-crime series “LISK: Long Island Serial Killer” (Mopac Audio, 2020-2023), and went on to write, produce, and host of the investigative podcast series “Yuba County Five” (Mopac Audio, 2022).

She is the producer of season one of “Edge of Reason” (Atlantic Re:think, 2023), a podcast partnership between The Atlantic and Hauser & Wirth Contemporary Art Gallery.

Her work has been featured on the “Stuff You Should Know” podcast, WABC New York, and Pix 11 News NYC and covered by The New York Times, British GQ, PopSugar, Vogue, British Vogue, HuffPost, The New Yorker, Men’s Health, and more.
